hackers (1995)    tomb raider (2001)    gone in 60 seconds (2000)

When you reach the exalted age of just 25 and you have two Golden Globes (Wallace, Gia) and a Best Supporting Actress Oscar (Girl, Interrupted) to your name, you can afford to be justifiably proud of your film career.

But, for a female star, it's rare to be a gifted, award-winning actress and also be box office dynamite. Glenn Close and Meryl Streep can act most modern actresses off the page, but they can't open a film the way Julia Roberts can. But Angie manages to combine both talent and that elusive 'star quality' which should, one day, see her beat the sort of money Julia currently gets. Take the Bone Collector. It's a so-so movie, but it made the studio a lot of money, mostly due to the Angie factor.

Here's a list of her film and TV projects to date - from the breakthrough parts in Hackers and Gia, bang up to date with Tomb Raider. Click the title for more info on each.
